Our story
Most places make you choose: good coffee or a proper meal, a quick breakfast or a long dinner. Coffee Heist refuses the trade. Nearly 200 dishes and drinks run from the first espresso at 6:30am to the last plate at 11pm, all from one kitchen in Kilimani.
Beef suqaar beside a pepper steak. Somali tea beside a flat white. A signature breakfast that holds its own against anything in Nairobi. And when you're ready to order, scan the code on your table and it goes straight to the kitchen. We take the ordinary and quietly make off with it. That's the heist.
Morning
Served from 6:30am, every day. Poached eggs on brioche, pesto and fresh mozzarella, fluffy pancakes, slow-cooked oats. Ten plates made to order, at exactly the prices you'll pay at the table. No delivery-app markup on this page.

Toasted brioche served with creamy Pesto, fresh mozzarella, tomato, butter and a poached egg cooked to your preference. Accompanied by a side of salad and freshly baked bread.
Two eggs prepared to your preference, served with buttered toast and a side of fruit preserves.
Two eggs cooked to your liking, served with grilled beef sausage, baked beans, crispy beef bacon, grilled tomato and fresh fruit salad. Accompanied by freshly baked bread with butter and jam.

Thick slices of brioche bread dipped in a cinnamon-vanilla egg batter and pan-fried to golden perfection. Served with vanilla ice cream and fresh seasonal fruits.
Slow-cooked oatmeal flavored with cinnamon & green apple, lightly sweetened with brown sugar and a drizzle of honey.

The bar
The bar runs on the same rule as the kitchen: made to order, never sitting under a lamp. Over fifty coffees and teas, from a cortado to a cinnamon-cardamom cappuccino, a cup of Karak to our own turmeric and cinnamon-garlic dawa. Our favourite matches:
Chapter I / The cup
Every shot is pulled the moment you order it, and every milk drink is steamed for your cup alone. So what reaches the table is sweet, balanced and hot. Espresso, flat white, long black, or an iced latte on a Nairobi afternoon: the standard doesn't move with the clock.
The rule
Made when you order, never before. A coffee is best in its first minute, so that's when it reaches you.
The range
Classic espresso, flavoured lattes, matcha, Karak, Somali tea and house dawa. One bar, every kind of regular.
No pots stewing on a hotplate. Order a latte at 6:31am or 10:59pm and it's made exactly the same way: for you, right then.
Good Wi-Fi, sockets within reach, comfortable chairs and a calm room. Breakfast meetings, laptop afternoons, late suppers that run to close. Come for one coffee and stay for three.
